Job Summary

  • As the Quality Assurance Officer at Pullus Africa, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the consistent production of high-quality, safe poultry products.
  • This role will oversee all quality control measures throughout the poultry production process, from converting the raw materials to final product packaging and distribution.
  • The Quality Assurance officer will work closely with the purchase, extension, and logistics teams to uphold rigorous quality standards and drive continuous improvement.
    Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality assurance programs, including quality control procedures, inspections, and audits.
  • Monitor production processes to identify and resolve quality issues in a timely manner.
  • Conduct regular testing and analysis of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished poultry products to verify compliance with food safety regulations and internal quality specifications.
  • Document quality control activities and maintain detailed records to demonstrate process control.
  • Carry out research and development exercises to evaluate new technologies, equipment, and processes that can enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Train and supervise staff to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures.
    Serve as the primary point of contact for all quality-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant industry regulations, standards, and best practices in poultry production.
    Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in food science, food technology, or a related field.
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in a quality assurance or quality control role within the poultry or food processing industry.
  • Thorough understanding of HACCP, GMP, ISO and food safety standards.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and the use of quality control software.
  • Excellent documentation, auditing and reporting skills.
  • Resides in Kaduna or Abuja(Karu or its environs).
