We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Account Payable Officer

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Job Description

  • To undertake all payment functions associated with recording, reconciliation and payment of both internal and external customers.
  • Review and processes all transactions for payments for services or goods procured on behalf of Stanbic IBTC group in accordance with the group’s policies and guidelines.
  • Process all local payments, ensuring vendors are paid timeously, correct amounts are paid and accounts are accurately allocated with proper authority obtained.
  • Process all foreign payments (through IBC) for items, ensuring vendors are paid timeously, correct amounts are paid and accounts are accurately allocated and proper authority obtained.
  • Review and reconcile the prepayment accounts while ensuring accurate amortization and that there are no un-amortised amounts.
  • Ensure smooth run of month end activities, support Business units, manage/monitor team in all month-end processes to ensure deadlines are met and there are no disruptions to day to day and month end activities.
  • No disruptions to day to day and month end activities (Internal and External Stakeholder feedback)
    Qualifications
  • B.Sc. Degree Finance and Accounting
  • ICAN (Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria);
  • ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified
  • Accountants) or MBA can be an added advantage
    Experience:
  • 1-2 years experience in Accounting field; Computer literate; Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office;
  • Knowledge of Accounting Software package
