Job Title: Procurement Officer
Location: Lagos

Reports To: Operations Manager / Management
Job Purpose
- The Procurement Officer will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and purchasing technical materials, equipment, and other company requirements at competitive prices while ensuring quality, timely delivery, and compliance with approved procurement procedures.
Key Responsibilities - Source and identify reliable local and international suppliers for technical materials and equipment.
- Obtain and compare quotations, pricing, specifications, and delivery timelines.
- Negotiate competitive prices, payment terms, warranties, and delivery conditions with suppliers.
- Procure solar, electrical, mechanical, construction, and other technical materials as required.
- Maintain an up-to-date supplier and pricing database.
- Verify material specifications and ensure purchased items meet approved technical requirements.
- Monitor supplier performance, delivery timelines, quality, and pricing.
- Support inventory planning by monitoring material requirements and availability.
- Prepare purchase orders, procurement reports, and supporting documentation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and identify alternative sources to reduce procurement risks and costs.
- Work closely with Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Warehouse teams to ensure procurement requirements are properly coordinated.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and approval processes.

Qualifications & Experience - Bachelor’s Degree / HND in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of procurement or purchasing experience.
- Experience sourcing technical materials, electrical components, solar equipment, construction materials, or industrial equipment is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of supplier sourcing, price comparison, negotiation, and market research.
- Good understanding of technical specifications and ability to work with Engineering/Operations teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
