Job Description

• We are seeking friendly, professional, and customer-focused Waiters & Waitresses to join our hotel team.
• The successful candidates will be responsible for providing excellent food and beverage service to guests, taking orders accurately, maintaining a clean and welcoming dining environment, and ensuring guests have a pleasant dining experience.
  Responsibilities
• Welcome and attend to guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Take guests’ food and beverage orders accurately and promptly.
• Serve food and drinks according to the hotel’s service standards.
• Explain menu items, daily specials, and available promotions to guests.
• Provide recommendations when requested and answer guests’ questions about menu items.
• Ensure orders are delivered correctly and on time.
• Check on guests during meals to ensure they are satisfied with the service.
• Clear and clean tables promptly after guests leave.
• Set and arrange tables, chairs, cutlery, glassware, and other dining equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper hygiene in the restaurant, bar, and service areas.
• Process or assist with guest bills and payments where required.
• Communicate guests’ requests, complaints, and special requirements to the appropriate supervisor.
• Work closely with the kitchen, bar, front office, and other departments to ensure smooth service.
• Follow hotel policies, food safety regulations, and health and safety procedures.
• Restock service items and report shortages or damaged equipment to the supervisor.
• Assist with events, conferences, banquets, and other hotel functions when required.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Restaurant Supervisor, Food & Beverage Manager, or Management.
  Requirements
  Experience:
• Previous experience as a Waiter, Waitress, Restaurant Attendant, Food & Beverage Assistant, or similar hospitality role is preferred.
• 3–10 years of relevant experience in a hotel, restaurant, lounge, or similar hospitality environment is an advantage.
• Fresh graduates or candidates with good customer-service skills may also be considered, depending on the hotel’s requirements.
  Required Skills:
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Good listening and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good knowledge of food and beverage service.
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
• Good attention to detail.
• Neat, presentable, and well-groomed appearance.
• Ability to handle guests politely and professionally.
• Good time-management and organizational skills.
• Basic knowledge of handling bills and payments is an advantage.
  Other Requirements:
• Must be willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
• Must be physically fit and able to stand or walk for extended periods.
• Must demonstrate honesty, punctuality, discipline, and reliability.
• Must have a positive attitude toward guests and colleagues.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hotel environment.
