 Job Title: Senior Engineer, Merchant Experience

Location: Lekki, Lagos
The Role

• We are looking for a UX-focused Full-Stack Engineer with heavy frontend (React/Vue) expertise to build the visual layer that merchants interact with. You will be responsible for developing the core Merchant Dashboard (analytics, settings, balances), the Checkout Modal/JS SDK, Payment Links, and Invoices.
• The ideal candidate will have high empathy for user conversion, web accessibility, and performance optimization, understanding that a slow checkout instantly drops conversion rates.
  Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Design, build, and maintain the core Merchant Dashboard, including analytics, settings, and balance views
• Develop and optimize the Checkout Modal, JS SDK, Payment Links, and Invoices systems
• Ensure the visual layer and user interfaces are highly intuitive, accessible, and responsive
• Implement performance optimization strategies to ensure lightning-fast load times and seamless checkout experiences
• Collaborate with Product and Design teams to maximize user conversion rates through UX improvements
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested frontend and backend code.
  Required competency and skillset to be a waver
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software
• Engineering, or a related technical field
• 5 – 9 years of software engineering experience with a heavy focus on frontend frameworks like React or Vue
• Strong full-stack capabilities with an emphasis on creating exceptional user experiences
• Deep understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG) and best practices
• Proven track record of optimizing web performance and improving conversion metrics
• Experience building scalable dashboards, checkout flows, or SDKs
• High empathy for users and a product-minded approach to engineering.
