Role Description 

  • The Head of Product Management is a full-time, hybrid role based in Lagos, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements.
  • This role leads the end-to-end product strategy and lifecycle management across Union Bank’s portfolio, ensuring products are customer-centric, commercially viable, and aligned with the bank’s digital and business objectives.
  • Day-to-day responsibilities include defining product vision, prioritizing product roadmaps, overseeing product development and enhancements, and coordinating cross-functional teams such as technology, operations, marketing, and sales.
  • The Head of Product Management will analyze market trends, customer insights, and performance data to optimize existing products and identify new opportunities.
  • The role also involves mentoring product managers, establishing best practices, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and risk management standards.
    Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field; a relevant Master’s Degree or MBA is an advantage.
  • Experience in banking, financial services, or fintech, with knowledge of digital channels and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Product Strategy and Product Management, with a track record of leading successful product portfolios.
  • Strong experience in Product Lifecycle Management, including ideation, development, launch, and continuous improvement.
  • Advanced Analytical Skills, with the ability to interpret data, market research, and customer insights to inform decisions.
  • Background collaborating with Sales teams to drive product adoption, revenue growth, and customer engagement.
  • Proven leadership experience managing product teams, setting priorities, and driving cross-functional alignment.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills suitable for senior leadership settings.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, demonstrating flexibility, accountability, and strong time management.
