 Job Title: Animator & Video Editor

Description

• We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented Animator & Video Editor to bring our brand to life through motion. You’ll transform ideas, scripts, and concepts into engaging animated videos that capture attention, build trust, and drive traffic across our digital platforms.
• You will design, animate, and edit high-quality video content for Virtual Nation and its brand. This includes turning scripts and creative concepts into polished, engaging videos optimised for multiple platforms. Your work should be visually compelling, on-brand, and built to drive engagement.
  Key Responsibilities
• Design and produce motion graphics, animated typography, and visual effects
• Edit raw footage into polished videos with transitions, sound, music, and effects
• Translate scripts, concepts, and creative briefs into engaging animated content
• Maintain consistent animation style and visual identity across all brand content
• Adapt and optimise videos for multiple platforms and formats (social, web, ads)
• Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and quality standards
• Organise project files and maintain proper version control
• Revise content accurately based on feedback
• Stay current with animation, motion design, and video editing trends
  Performance Metrics & KPIs
• Engagement on published content: likes, comments, and shares
• Traffic driven by video content
• Deadline adherence across projects
• Revision efficiency (feedback implemented accurately with minimal cycles)
• Brand consistency across all outputs
  What Success Looks Like
• At 90 days: You’re producing consistent, on-brand video content, meeting deadlines, and your editing style is fully aligned with Virtual Nation’s visual identity.
• At 1 year: Your videos are a recognisable part of Virtual Nation’s brand presence, consistently driving engagement and traffic, with minimal need for revisions.
  Skills & Competencies Required
  Must-have:
• 5+ years of overall professional experience
• 3+ years of experience in a similar animator/video editor role
• Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, and Photoshop
• Strong understanding of animation principles (timing, easing, motion flow)
• Solid grasp of graphic design fundamentals (colour, typography, composition)
• A portfolio demonstrating relevant animation and video editing work
• Strong attention to detail and file/asset management skills
  Nice-to-have:
• Experience with 2D and 3D animation techniques
• Familiarity with short-form video trends and social media formats
• Experience working with a marketing, media, or creative agency
