Description

• Ganfeng Lithium Industry Limited is seeking an experienced Heavy-Duty Mechanic Trainer to join our mining site in Nasarawa State.
  Key Responsibilities
• Provide practical and theoretical  training to heavy-duty mechanics.
• Train mechanics in the maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of heavy-duty mining and construction equipment.
• Conduct hands-on training on diesel engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, electrical systems and other equipment components.
• Train staff on preventive and scheduled maintenance procedures.
• Assess mechanics’ technical knowledge and practical skills.
• Identify technical gaps and provide appropriate coaching and guidance.
• Develop and implement equipment maintenance training programs.
• Demonstrate proper use of diagnostic tools and workshop equipment.
• Promote safe working practices and compliance with HSE requirements.
• Monitor trainees’ progress and prepare training/assessment reports.
• Support the maintenance team in diagnosing recurring equipment faults and improving equipment reliability.
  Requirements
• Relevant technical qualification or certification in Mechanical Engineering, Heavy-Duty Equipment Maintenance, Diesel Mechanics or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in heavy-duty equipment maintenance.
• Strong practical experience with excavators, loaders, bulldozers, dump trucks, graders and other heavy-duty machinery.
• Good knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, transmission and electrical systems.
• Previous experience as a trainer, instructor, senior mechanic or workshop supervisor is an advantage.
• Mining, quarry, construction or other heavy-equipment industry experience is highly preferred.
• Ability to deliver effective hands-on technical training.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work on a mining site in Nasarawa State.
