Minimum Qualifications and Professional Requirements
- Must be duly registered and licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Registered Midwife (RM) with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
- Must possess a valid and current professional practising licence issued by NMCN.
- 2–3 years of relevant professional experience in nursing and midwifery practice. Experience in maternal, newborn, reproductive, and primary healthcare services will be an added advantage.
- Demonstrated competence in providing comprehensive nursing and midwifery care, including antenatal, delivery, postnatal, newborn, and emergency care.
- Knowledge and practical experience in infection prevention and control, patient safety, health education, and appropriate clinical documentation.
- Ability to assess patients, develop and implement appropriate care plans, monitor treatment outcomes, and promptly identify and respond to complications.
- Good communication, interpersonal, counselling, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date patient records and prepare relevant clinical reports.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional ethics, confidentiality, safeguarding, and respect for patients’ rights and dignity.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Willingness and ability to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and in other locations as may be required by the organization.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to use electronic health records or other relevant digital healthcare systems will be an advantage.
Location Requirement
- Must reside in Kubwa or its immediate environs and be able to commute reliably to the duty station.
