Job Title: Electromechanical Engineer

Location: SSC P-Numan, Adamawa
 Job Summary

• Electromechanical Engineer with strong background in power systems, pump station design, irrigation systems, and automation.
• Responsible for designing, installing, and commissioning irrigation pump stations and electrical distribution systems, including medium-voltage power lines, to support large-scale sugarcane agricultural expansion.
• Extends current role scope from electrical installation and automation in irrigation systems to full electromechanical project execution and infrastructure development.
  Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Design and supervise installation of irrigation pump stations including pumps, motors, valves, and pipelines.
• Perform hydraulic calculations (flow rate, pressure, head requirements)
• Design and implement electrical power systems including transformers, switchgear, MCC panels, and protection systems.
• Plan and execute power line infrastructure (overhead/underground MV & LV lines.
• Install and configure motor control systems (DOL, Star-Delta, soft starters, VFDs)
• Develop Single Line Diagrams (SLD), cable layouts, and grounding systems.
• Integrate pump station operation with drip irrigation networks and automated control systems.
• Implement SCADA / PLC-based automation for irrigation scheduling and monitoring.
• Ensure proper installation of electrical components including control panels, sensors, valves, and timers.
• Monitor system performance: pressure, flow, energy consumption, and reliability, troubleshoot faults in motors, transformers, switchgear, and control systems, ensure electrical safety compliance, grounding, and lightning protection systems, participate in feasibility studies and infrastructure planning for expansion projects, Develop and implement energy-efficient pumping and power distribution solutions.
  Educational Qualification and Work Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Electromechanical Engineering.
• Any relevant profession certificate is an added advantage.
• Minimum 5–8 years’ experience in:Pump station systems
• Power distribution / line construction
• Irrigation or agro-industrial projects
