Description
- As a Legal Officer, you’ll help strengthen the legal, governance and compliance foundations that support our businesses across Africa.
- Working closely with legal, commercial and leadership teams, you’ll play an important role in managing legal and regulatory risk while enabling the business to move forward with confidence.
- From supporting commercial agreements to maintaining strong governance practices and compliance processes, your work will help protect our brands, people and reputation.

What You’ll Be Doing - Help the business make informed decisions by drafting, reviewing and supporting the delivery of commercial contracts that balance opportunity and risk.
- Strengthen governance standards by supporting board, committee and statutory processes, ensuring key obligations are met accurately and on time.
- Drive consistency across African markets through effective compliance monitoring, policy implementation and record management.
- Maintain trusted legal and compliance information, ensuring critical documents, registers and contract records are accurate, accessible and up to date.
- Provide valuable legal research and insight that supports decision-making, policy development and business projects.
- Build strong relationships across commercial, supply chain, finance, HR and leadership teams to deliver practical legal and compliance support.
What You’ll Bring - An LL.B degree and qualification as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court.
- Around 2-4 years of legal experience, ideally within a corporate, commercial or in-house environment.
- Experience drafting and reviewing commercial contracts and legal documentation.
- Exposure to company secretarial, corporate governance, compliance or statutory filing activities.
- Strong legal research, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and practically.
- Confidence managing multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and document management tools.
