Job Title: Live-in House Manager / Cook

Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Employment Type: Full-Time (Live-In)

Job Summary

We are seeking a mature, responsible, and experienced Live-In House Manager/Cook to oversee the day-to-day management of a private residence.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized home, preparing meals, supervising domestic activities, and ensuring the smooth running of the household.

Key Responsibilities
Household Management:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the residence.
  • Ensure cleanliness and proper organization of all living spaces.
  • Manage household supplies and inventory.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs when required.
  • Ensure the home is secure and well-maintained at all times.

Cooking & Meal Preparation:

  • Plan and prepare daily meals for the household.
    Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
  • Prepare a variety of local and continental dishes.
    Manage food shopping and kitchen inventory.
  • Accommodate dietary preferences and special meal requests.
    Domestic Supervision:

 

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of other domestic staff where applicable.
  • Ensure household rules and standards are maintained.
  • Assist with hosting guests and special occasions when required.
    Requirements
  • Minimum of an SSCE qualification.
  • Proven experience as a House Manager, Housekeeper, Cook, or similar role.
  • Ability to prepare a wide range of Nigerian and basic continental meals.
  • Strong organizational and housekeeping skills.
  • Honest, trustworthy, and highly discreet.
  • Ability to live within the residence.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Hospitality, catering, or housekeeping training is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
